Tube and metal cutting

The cutting department consists of a wide range of machines: four special laser cutting machines and eleven blade sawing-machines, which means working tubes from a reduced diameter of 8 mm up to the ones with a maximum diameter of 219 mm.

The main workable materials are: stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminium and brass.

The blade cut technology

Even if it is a traditional cutting method, blade cutting is still one of the most precise, efficient and economic cutting systems, thanks to the highly automated machinery and the 100% automated quality control system available.

Tube laser cutting and 3D laser cutting technology

Laser cutting is a precise cutting system used for specific working needs, to cut tubes perfectly with high-precision results.

Motta & Rossi has been one of the first Italian companies to use this technology and has now reached such a high level of flexibility to be able to work small and big production lots.

3D laser cutting allows the execution of any type of processing on already processed products (for example: pre-bent tubes, printed sheets or castings) introducing very high flexibility both for the production of samples and the replacement of any molds or inflexible equipment
